LÜDECKE sets another milestone towards sustainability and efficiency: the digital integration of external workshops into order planning. This measure not only enables a more environmentally friendly way of working, but also creates an improved planning basis for the partner companies and internal processes.
Digital contract awards and transparent planning for external workshops
In the past, external workshops received physical printouts of LÜDECKE's contract orders and production orders with the delivery of goods. This led to a lack of a planning basis, as the workshops did not know in advance when they would receive and must process which order. Since this year, orders have been sent completely digitally in advance by e-mail. Once the order has been entered at LÜDECKE, the workshops not only receive the order itself, but also the parts list, the drawing and a link to an assembly wiki with corresponding assembly instructions. This digital advance planning enables the workshops to find out days or even weeks in advance which production order they will receive, which work steps are required for assembly and when the assembled goods must be returned. This measure saves LÜDECKE around 6 pages per production order, including pre-perforated, thick special paper.
Assembly wiki: Digital support for smooth assembly
A central component of the digital connection of the workshops is LÜDECKE's self-developed assembly wiki. This digital tool serves as a comprehensive collection of detailed product descriptions with assembly instructions and important information about the products. It is supplemented by images and explanatory videos of the products to simplify and standardise assembly in the workshops. The wiki is available online for all workshops at any time, which leads to increased efficiency and quality in the assembly processes.
This initiative not only allows LÜDECKE to digitally plan external assembly with capacities, but also saves a considerable amount of paper. Maximum flexibility is maintained until shortly before order scheduling, and it is possible to intervene remotely at any time.
LÜDECKE is therefore not only driving forward its innovative strength, but also contributing to environmental protection and sustainable corporate management.
