Building Sustainable Connections
Developing and producing connections is our core business - making them sustainable in the long term is the basis for us. As a company, we have a special role to play in making this happen. Our task lies in thinking and acting in an economically, socially and environmentally forward-thinking manner. We want to lead by example and demonstrate that being sustainable is easy to unite with efficiency and cost-effectiveness, enabling all of our stakeholders to profit long into the future and creating a world worth living in for generations to come.
Our sustainability projects and goals
We view it as our duty to assume responsibility and act sustainability in all the work we do. In addition to environmental aspects, this also involves taking the economy and society into consideration. Our aim is to become more efficient in the long term in view of all three aspects and thereby create added value for all of our stakeholders. We have based our approach on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and focus on 9 fields of action. We’ve defined strategic fields for action around which our efforts are oriented on the basis of the Agenda.
Commitment that stands out
Sustainability is a key pillar of the LÜDECKE corporate philosophy and a fixed component of our vision & mission. In order to translate this commitment into the work we do on a daily basis, we’ve created special jobs and positions aimed at achieving a sustainable corporate culture. For example, we have had our own Green Company & Inclusion Officer in the company since 2021, and a dedicated sustainability team has also been set up to manage the sustainability strategy. In addition, we voluntarily prepared and registered a report in accordance with GRI standards in 2024.
Sustainability is not just a trend for us - it is a concern. We have received a number of awards for our commitment over the past few years.
Sustainability at the LÜDECKE Campus
With a central oil mist extraction system, the foundation for a more sustainable production was already laid in the 1980s. Over the years, many other projects have been added, so that today we can look back on a large number of sustainability milestones. The latest major project is the LÜDECKE Energy Campus, which ensures an advanced energy supply for the company, making it fit for the future.
